We’re not coming up for air. Departing from the crowd. Disappearing in the trees. Every breath. A sigh. A defeat. Continue dreary would be lover. Falsify each wonder. Dig in the ground. Run for cover.

By open arms and unwilling discretion. Imagine words without a lack of passion. Each one an explosion. Every line a vicious tirade. A deviant choral weapon. A lifetime of experienced scars to be made. A celebration of dirt and open air. Fearless you might be… If only you’d wade into the sea… Close your eyes and feed yourself to the crows. As the smell of rain curls in your nose and water slips between your  toes… Roam dear… by all means… Roam… But notice the admiring eyes pressed upon you… Beneath all your headstrong sorrow… At least pretend to know… The tiniest act of your defiance gives hope to those who won’t ever be close to you.
